Built in 1950, the facility is made up of numerous additions made through the years, including a 3-pod structure which used to be known as Mountainview School. Glenmore offers French Immersion and regular English programs with over 580 students enrolled (2/3 of the students in the French Immersion program and 1/3 of the students in the English program). One of the strengths of the school is the Fine Arts specialty programs including violin, talent shows and drama opportunities. Physical Education in grades K-6 is augmented with such events as square dancing, waltz, zumba, hip hop, skating, swimming, sailing, and telemarking etc. There is a highly active Parent Advisory Council which has organized numerous educational support committees. Our behavioral expectations at the school are built on a foundation of PBS, a well-researched framework of school-wide positive behaviour support; subsequently, we have a very well-mannered and respectful learning community.
